New Study from Rikers University Shows Homeless People Just Lack That “Go-Getter” Attitude
As the government attempts to create more jobs to decrease unemployment and homelessness in America, a new study from the world-renowned Rikers University shows that homeless people are actually just lazy.

THE BRONX, New York—A new study from Rikers University suggests a surprising cause for homelessness in America. While most attribute homelessness to problems such as unemployment and a decrease in the number of jobs in the country, Rikers University proposed a new cause this week. The prestigious institution suggested that homeless people are actually just too lazy. This explanation has caused the University to come under fire for its seemingly outrageous proposal but the University holds strong in the face of adversity as it is used to the public not accepting their ideas right away. Only a few weeks ago Rikers University proposed a solution to global warming which immediately caused enormous backlash from the public.
Just as Rikers held its ground in that issue it continues to push its agenda here citing evidence from its heavily repeated and widely conducted study. Nobel Prize winning scientist Dr. Chief Keef from Rikers released a statement at a press conference stating, “It’s actually very simple. Homeless people line the streets of this country. Everyone blames unemployment and the job crisis in America. This makes no sense. Just this morning I saw a ‘Now Hiring’ sign outside my local Burger King. What I didn’t see was homeless people lining up for the position. It’s not about a lack of jobs. They’re just lazy. It’s extremely clear. For example, if I was homeless, what is the first thing I would do? Exactly. I would buy a house. It’s really a no-brainer. Despite this almost no homeless people are seen at open houses for houses or in real estate agencies trying to negotiate prices. This clearly demonstrates that homeless people are just lazy. It’s going to take some time for people to take this to be true, but once they do we can finally address the problem of homelessness in America.” Dr. Chief Keef was extremely adamant in his statement and cited evidence from many parts of the extensive study.
This study comes just in wake of the sudden homeless strike in the Bay Area, and the two events seem to contradict each other. While the homeless rally and protest in San Francisco, Rikers University suggests that all homeless people are really just lazy and useless. In an attempt to delve further into this issue, reporters at the Rikers Times took to the streets to find homeless people and interview them directly about their problem. Reporters asked questions such as, “Why are you so lazy?” and “Why do you think its okay to leech off of hard-working American people all while driving down the property value of their neighborhoods.” All homeless people were extremely uncooperative and many claimed that the reporters were “invading their personal space” and insulting them. For now, the debate remains wide open with multiple opinions arising about the work ethic of homeless people.
